DEPOSITS

It’s easy to deposit money into your Mercer KiwiSaver scheme account.

You can make regular or lump sum contributions directly into your account from your online banking by searching for Mercer KiwiSaver scheme as a payee and follow your banks instructions to complete the process. There are no minimum contributions when you make contributions this way.

You can also set up an automatic payment.

TAX

Mercer will deduct or refund tax on your behalf. You simply need to provide us with your IRD number and your Prescribed Investor Rate (PIR).

Mercer KiwiSaver scheme is a Portfolio Investment Entity or what’s known as a PIE. This means any money you make through your investment will be taxed.

The PIR is the rate at which it will be taxed. A PIR is based on your taxable income, e.g. income from salary, wages and any additional sources of income that you would include in your income tax return.

FEES

The fees you pay vary depending on the investment option(s) you invest in. Please refer to the table below.

Fees are deducted from your investments and will also depend on the tax rate.

There are currently no contribution, establishment, termination or withdrawal fees charged to you and you are not currently charged any other fees on an individual basis for investor specific decisions or actions.

You will receive regular updates about your account and investment performance:

  • Investment reports published monthly on this website.
  • Our Annual Report, providing a review of each year and a full update on investment performance.
  • Our digital newsletter, Mercer Magazine, which provides the latest information on KiwiSaver and ideas to help you grow you wealth and stay healthy.
