SaverProtect is a free benefit* available to Mercer LifeProtect and/or Mercer BillProtect customers who are unable to work due to illness, injury or redundancy.

• $200 per month paid into your Mercer KiwiSaver scheme account if you are unable to work due to illness, injury or redundancy
• Ongoing contributions mean you’ll remain eligible for the annual member tax credit.
• Benefit is automatically applied to your LifeProtect and/or BillProtect policy if you are a member of the Mercer KiwiSaver scheme

*You must be a member of the Mercer KiwiSaver scheme to be eligible for this benefit.

Things you need to know

• Mercer SaverProtect is free if you are a Mercer KiwiSaver scheme customer aged between 18 and 60 and have signed up to Mercer LifeProtect and/or Mercer BillProtect.
• At the time of the claim you must be:
  • Mercer KiwiSaver scheme member
  • Residing in NZ
  • Working in full time employment for at least 25 hours a week
• The amount paid into your Mercer KiwiSaver scheme account is $200 per month
• Claim period is up to 6 months for redundancy and 6 months for an illness or injury caused by an accident
• Pre-existing conditions are excluded
